Job description

Position Summary

The Strategic Technology Advisor (also known as Virtual Chief Information Officer, or vCIO) serves as the primary strategic partner to assigned clients, aligning technology with business outcomes. This role owns the development and execution of client technology roadmaps, budgets, and lifecycle strategies, ensuring all IT decisions are proactive, financially aligned, and support client growth and risk reduction. Success is measured by client retention, strategic alignment, and adoption of standard technology frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contiguous 12–18 month technology roadmaps aligned to client goals
  • Prepare for and lead structured Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs)
  • Translate business objectives into actionable IT initiatives
  • Manage forward-looking IT budgets and forecasts
  • Drive standardization and lifecycle planning across client environments
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client POCs and executives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic initiatives
  • Maintain visibility into high-priority client issues

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ITIL preferred
  • Proficient in Artificial Intelligence consultation, compliance, and security preferred
