To thrive as a Remote Certified Gastroenterology Coder, you need in-depth knowledge of medical coding guidelines, gastroenterology-specific terminology, and a current certification such as CPC or CCS. Familiarity with coding software (like EncoderPro or 3M), electronic health records (EHRs), and compliance systems is typically required.
