Job description

RainFocus, one of the most innovative software companies, is in search of an exceptional Solution Architect.
About RainFocus
RainFocus cares about its employees, customers, and the world in which we live. Our rapidly growing team serves Fortune 500 companies like Adobe, Cisco, IBM, Oracle, VMware, and others to prepare and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, across the world. Those events are delivered through our industry-disrupting software platform, with groundbreaking business intelligence, to elevate the attendee experience, streamline event operations, and accelerate marketing results. We are well-funded, growing fast, and building a company that is changing the market - it will be challenging, fun and exciting.
Role Summary
The Solution Architect (SA) is a critical member of the RainFocus Client Success organization and the senior-most technical resource within the implementation consulting IC track. Once an implementation begins, the SA owns the overall architecture of the client's event program - aligning platform design and configuration with the client's strategic business objectives and ensuring that the implemented solution is scalable, innovative, and built to last. Solution Architects are trusted advisors to executive-level client stakeholders. They lead discovery and solution design, guide complex integrations, provide oversight across multi-event portfolios, and serve as technical thought leaders within the Client Success organization. Beyond their own engagements, they mentor Solution Consultants, contribute to process and methodology improvement, and represent RainFocus's implementation expertise through thought leadership and client advocacy.
Essential Responsibilities
• Own the overall solution architecture for client implementations. Take full ownership of the architectural design for assigned client event programs - leading solution design that considers client requirements, system integrations, scalability, and technical feasibility. Design complex, innovative, and scalable solutions that maximize the value of the RainFocus platform for each client
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive client stakeholders. Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with VP and C-suite client stakeholders - understanding their strategic objectives and aligning RainFocus solutions with long-term business goals. Lead strategic discovery sessions and consultations that uncover client needs and identify opportunities for platform-driven improvement.
• Lead solution design and drive platform adoption. Lead the end-to-end solution design process - collaborating closely with Solution Consultants and technical teams to ensure successful implementation. Drive adoption of RainFocus platform capabilities to maximize client value and strengthen long-term partnership.
• Provide oversight across the client implementation portfolio. Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and client expectations across the full portfolio of client events. Collaborate with project managers and leadership to define project scope, resource allocation, and deliverable expectations. Ensure thorough QA and propose alternative solutions when gaps or inefficiencies are identified.
• Lead discovery calls, post-conference reviews, and client communications. Own and facilitate key client-facing conversations - including strategic discovery sessions, post-conference reviews, and milestone reporting - ensuring continuity, transparency, and growth across the client relationship.
• Mentor and develop Solution Consultants. Provide active mentorship, expertise, and best practice guidance to Solution Consultants and other team members - fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the implementation team.
• Contribute to thought leadership and process improvement. Share insights through whitepapers, social media, and conference presentations. Conduct case studies focused on lessons learned and present findings to leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve consulting processes, methodologies, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of software implementation experience, with deep expertise implementing SaaS platforms for enterprise-level clients, 3-5 years within SaaS event technology, preferrably RainFocus experience.
• Demonstrated track record of gathering, documenting, and translating complex requirements, configurations, and integrations across multiple systems.
• Proven ability to own overall solution architecture for complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor to executive-level client stakeholders - aligning solutions with long-term business strategy.
• Proven track record of creating significant efficiencies through process design, driving adoption, and measuring impact.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and client needs while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
• Experience in the event technology, marketing technology, or enterprise B2B SaaS implementation space.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and clients.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SQL, and/or JSON for advanced customization and integration requirements.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Background contributing to industry thought leadership - whitepapers, conference presentations, or social media content.
• Extensive experience with APIs - designing and implementing complex integrations across enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated mentorship track record - developing Solution Consultants or equivalent
implementation professionals.
Key Competencies
• Strategic solution design. Translates complex, multi-stakeholder client requirements into elegant, scalable architectural solutions - sees the whole picture and designs for long-term success, not just immediate delivery.
• Executive client credibility. Earns and sustains trust with C-suite and VP stakeholders - engages as a genuine strategic advisor, not just a platform expert, and shapes the client's vision for what's possible.
• Technical depth and breadth. Brings the platform expertise and integration knowledge to design and validate the most complex solutions - and the communication skills to make that expertise accessible to any audience.
• Team multiplier. Elevates the capability of the implementation team through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership - creates lasting organizational value beyond individual engagements.
• Thought leadership and innovation. Actively contributes to the industry and organization's knowledge base - shares insights, drives innovation, and positions RainFocus as a leader in enterprise event implementation.
• Resilience and adaptability. Performs consistently under pressure across multiple high-profile engagements - adapts quickly to changing circumstances and models composure and solutions-focus for the team.
