Huron is seeking a Senior Consultant (Contingent) with strong expertise in Oracle Health (Cerner) Core Integration Consultant to support a one-year engagement. This role focuses on system configuration, optimization, testing, training, and end-user support workflows.
You will work directly with Cerner end users, project leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality system functionality, improved efficiency, and strong adoption across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise by assessing client needs and delivering solutions within the Cerner system

  • Guide clients on workflows, system design validation and build standards across teams, guiding analyst and developers to align configurations with architectural principles and approved governance

  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and data integrity

  • Evaluate technical risks, resolving complex system issues, supporting integrated testing, and ensuring architectural consistency through change control and documentation standards

  • Supports stabilization and optimization efforts, transferring knowledge to operational teams to ensure longterm system performance, maintainability, and enterprise sustainability

  • Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities to improve efficiency and user satisfaction

  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and processes

  • Create user guides, manuals, and training materials to support learning and system adoption

  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables during implementation and optimization efforts

  • Work closely with project leadership through documentation, facilitation, and status reporting

  • Observe and monitor pharmacy workflows, providing recommendations and optimization strategies

  • Maintain strong communication with project managers, leadership, and team members to promote a collaborative working environment

Requirements

  • Solution-specific expertise in Oracle Health Solutions including:

    • Workflow assessments

    • System Design & configuration

    • Testing and validation

  • Experience in EHR implementation

  • Proficiency in Cerner system configuration and ongoing support

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work directly with clinical and operational end users

Preferences

  • Undergraduate degree (BA, BS, or equivalent)

  • Prior experience supporting large-scale Cerner implementations or optimizations
