What Does a Remote CCNA Do?

Cisco Systems is one of the largest manufacturers of computer networking equipment; CCNA stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate. As a remote CCNA, you work from home to install, modify, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco networks. Your duties and responsibilities involve designing and implementing local area and wide area network systems, performing routine upgrades and maintenance, and writing reports to document your efforts and those of your team. Additionally, you conduct research to solve problems and design more efficient systems and workflows, enforce security requirements for network components; evaluate, remediate, and document potential and actual risks, and assist in development and evaluation of policies and procedures that govern technology use.

How does a remote CCNA professional typically collaborate with on-site IT teams to resolve network issues?

As a remote CCNA professional, you’ll often work closely with on-site IT teams through virtual communication tools like email, chat, or video conferencing. You may be responsible for remotely monitoring network devices, diagnosing connectivity issues, and guiding on-site staff through troubleshooting procedures. Effective collaboration requires clear documentation, timely updates, and sometimes sharing screen sessions to resolve problems efficiently. Building strong communication skills is essential for ensuring smooth teamwork and maintaining network performance.

Is the CCNA still in demand?

The CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) remains a highly valued certification for network professionals, and demand for CCNA-certified individuals continues to be strong due to ongoing needs for network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT support. Employers seek these skills for roles involving network configuration, troubleshooting, and security, making CCNA a relevant credential in the IT job market.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

A remote CCNA professional can potentially earn $2000 or more weekly by offering specialized network consulting, providing remote technical support, or working as a freelance network engineer. Building a strong skill set, obtaining relevant certifications, and gaining experience with tools like Cisco routers and switches can help increase earning potential in remote networking roles.

What are Remote CCNA jobs?

Description

Unified communications, managed networks, and cloud security are transforming how businesses work and connect. You will be a strategic partner and not just technical support, guiding account executives to identify real opportunities and position integrated solutions that will truly change the way your clients work and secure their operations. Independence, direct impact, and geographic flexibility.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist - Unified Communications, Managed Network and Security to support our account executives with customers in the mid-market and enterprise segments in Quebec. You are an autonomous and collaborative technical expert who excels at discovering customer needs, preferring to deepen your technical expertise rather than progress toward account management. Capable of managing multiple requests simultaneously, you effectively present your recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders, adapting your language to your audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert on Unified Communications, managed network, and security solutions for Quebec's mid-market, enterprise, and public sector teams, and be available to travel to customer locations in the territory

  • Provide technical advice on UC solutions including voice, video conferencing, instant messaging, presence/availability, and collaboration tools

  • Advise clients on managed network solutions including SD-WAN, managed LAN, managed Wi-Fi, and WAN connectivity, positioning the value of a fully managed service from a single vendor

  • Identify and position cloud security solutions (SASE) to secure remote workers and branch offices, in collaboration with specialized security teams

  • Support account executives during client meetings by leading technical discovery conversations to assess communications, network, and security needs

  • Identify modernization opportunities and develop integrated solution recommendations covering UC, managed network, and security

  • Collaborate with customer IT teams and facilitate connections between account executives and internal resources (solutions architects, security specialists, implementation teams) for qualified opportunities

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear language highlighting operational results and business benefits

Qualifications

Knowledge of network delivery models including connectivity (fiber, cellular) and proactive management. Network Security and SASE: Understanding of SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) architectures for securing remote users and branch offices. Understanding of SSE, NGFW components, and the positioning of cloud-integrated security as part of a managed network solution

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B technology sales, preferably in unified communications, voice, managed network, telecommunications, or managed services

  • Proven experience in a sales support, technical specialist, or solutions engineer role

  • Track record demonstrating effective collaboration with account executives

  • Familiarity with Quebec's mid-market and enterprise segments

  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and opportunity management
