• Conduct thorough, comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health concerns, crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Provide individual therapy using evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other modalities based on client preferences.
• Facilitate regular goal-setting sessions with clients, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
• Offer innovative teletherapy options, catering to clients who may prefer virtual sessions due to logistical or health challenges.
• Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation to adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards while safeguarding client confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and peer consultations to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge of emerging therapeutic trends.

Our clientele at the Urban Mental and Counseling Center is diverse, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across various age groups and backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic techniques to meet the unique cultural and personal experiences that each client brings to therapy.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of trusting and safe therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to clients’ experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills essential for effectively managing caseload and various administrative duties.

• Experience with telehealth systems and online therapy platforms.
• Previous work within a private practice setting is advantageous.
• Background in crisis intervention and emergency assessments.
