• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' psychosocial needs, focusing specifically on the emotional, mental, and social factors affecting their recovery.
• Collaborate closely with clients and their families to formulate personalized care strategies, incorporating each client's unique goals and treatment preferences.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to clients, helping them cope with the challenges of detoxification and life transitions.
• Advocate for clients' rights, connecting them to essential community resources and ensuring they receive the necessary support.
• Work in synergy with healthcare professionals, including nurses and caregivers, to align treatment plans and enhance overall client care.
• Regularly monitor clients’ well-being through scheduled virtual consultations, assessing progress and adapting care plans as needed.
• Facilitate communication among family members, helping to resolve conflicts and improve overall family dynamics during the detox process.
• Educate clients and families about available support groups, community resources, and programs that can facilitate continued engagement and recovery.
• Maintain thorough records and documentation on client interaction, treatment plans, and progress to uphold compliance and ensure seamless care delivery.
• Stay current with the latest developments in social work practices and regulations to uphold ethical standards in service delivery.

In this position, you will primarily focus on clients within a detox center, working with individuals who are managing substance use disorders. This population often faces complex emotional, psychological, and social challenges as they seek to purge toxins from their systems and embark on recovery. Your ability to empathize and provide tailored support will be vital in helping them navigate these significant life changes.

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, ideally in settings focusing on substance use or detox support.
• Deep understanding of social work principles and the issues related to substance use and aging.
• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to connect empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software tools necessary for documentation and care coordination.

• Experience working in a community health or detox setting.
• Knowledge of local community resources for substance use treatment and recovery.
• Previous experience facilitating group counseling sessions or support groups.

The compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education level.
