Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and personal preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their mental health journey.
  • Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, multidisciplinary care for clients.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve practice methodologies.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their mental health needs are met successfully.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be assisting individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will engage with vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, providing them with not only therapeutic interventions but also emotional support and guidance through their tumultuous periods.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build secure and trustworthy therapeutic relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A nonjudgmental and empathetic approach toward clients’ diverse experiences and struggles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations and varying severity of mood disorders is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with documentation and clinical processes within mental health settings.
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions is a plus, as our services increasingly incorporate digital modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
