Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients seeking mental health and substance abuse treatment, both prior to and during care, to ensure the services provided align with medical necessity and patient needs.
  • Review and perform prior authorizations specific to mental health services, adhering to established regulatory guidelines to confirm the appropriateness of treatment plans.
  • Engage in concurrent reviews of inpatient behavioral health cases, assessing the overall well-being of members and collaborating on discharge planning to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Analyze behavioral health member data to enhance service quality and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.
