The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing compassionate support, therapeutic interventions, and assessments that empower clients to navigate life’s challenges effectively.

About the Organization

InStride Health Associates is a distinguished provider of mental health services dedicated to fostering emotional resilience and wellbeing within the communities we serve. Our commitment is to help clients from diverse backgrounds achieve emotional well-being through individualized care. The heart of our mission lies in supporting our clients with empathy, respect, and understanding, and improving mental health outcomes across our service areas.

Work Environment

As part of a leading hospice center, our remote work environment promotes flexibility while ensuring streamlined collaboration with team members and other healthcare professionals. The role offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Your schedule will primarily fall within Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families, adapting approaches to meet unique client needs.
  • Develop personalized, comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring measurable goals are established and pursued.
  • Advocate for clients by connecting them to relevant resources such as financial aid, housing support, and additional social services to remove barriers to mental health care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients dealing with acute challenges, including suicidal ideation or severe trauma responses, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
  • Engage in community education initiatives that promote mental health awareness, foster understanding, and diminish stigma around mental health issues.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and relevant state/federal regulations.
  • Participate in continuous learning and mentorship activities to facilitate both personal and professional growth in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be serving individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and other life-altering situations. Emphasis will be placed on providing client-centered care that recognizes cultural differences and tailors interventions accordingly. By understanding each client's unique circumstances, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Current Vermont License (LCSW) with the ability to practice independently.
  • A strong commitment to compassionate care with a focus on cultural competence and inclusivity.
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families in various contexts.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience in a similar role within a mental health or social services setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and an understanding of hospice care practices.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and refining interdisciplinary care strategies.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, contingent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, a retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and professional development opportunities.
