Summary
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will serves as Business Operations Specialist (enterprise resource integrator) to achieve balance between manpower, investments, and readiness encompassing resource planning, management, programming, and execution for the assigned portfolios. .

Duties
Help
As a Business Operations Specialist at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Directly responsible for Manpower management for DCPAS, including but not limited to maintaining DCPAS' Manpower Report, tracking all vacancies and fill actions; recording the total number of authorized, occupied and vacant full-time equivalents.
  • Serves the billing official for both the commercial government purchase card and defense travel card.
  • Serves as one of the Risk Assessment Managers for the Managers Internal Control Program, having knowledge of the generally acceptable accounting, budget and audit principles.
  • Expert knowledge in oral and written communications
  • Expert Knowledge in the DCPAS Awards Program.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Expert knowledge of concepts, principles, and processes pertaining to Manpower management, full time equivalent (FTE) tracking, utilization and execution.
  • Expert knowledge of rules and regulations governing the management and usage of the government commercial purchase card program.
  • Expert knowledge of Department of Defense travel policy; Joint Travel Regulation and management of Defense Travel Card Program.
  • Must know generally acceptable accounting, budget and audit principles.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
