MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administratorto join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • The Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator leads the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of complex computer systems, network servers, and virtualization technologies, including those in critical or high-security environments
  • Possess advanced knowledge of operating systems, server hardware, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, and security best practices
  • Install, configure, and upgrade complex systems and software, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software errors, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve critical issues
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Lead the implementation of automation processes to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency
  • Mentor and provide guidance to mid-level Systems Administrators, fostering their professional development and technical expertise
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and industry best practices
  • Provides direction and mentorship to subordinate staff

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in field necessary to assume Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator duties.
  • High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
  • A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.
  • Eight years of professional experience in the Information Technology sector
  • Five years of Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of systems. Relevant certifications in systems administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Server+).
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible clearance.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
