As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Caring Hands Counseling Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions using telehealth platforms, ensuring that all interactions are guided by empathy and professionalism.
• Monitoring and documenting clients’ progress throughout treatment plans, adjusting approaches as needed based on client feedback and clinical observations.
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals such as psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to create comprehensive treatment plans that address clients’ holistic needs.
• Conducting follow-up consultations with medical professionals for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
• Identifying and addressing behaviors that may hinder the recovery process, employing evidence-based interventions to support clients’ growth.
• Providing guidance and support to family members and caregivers in managing challenges associated with mental health issues, fostering understanding and communication within family dynamics.

You will be working with a diverse clientele, including adults, children, and families facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our focus is on tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs, employing culturally sensitive practices and therapeutic modalities that resonate with their individual experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required; a master’s degree in mental health counseling or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State.
• Proven experience working in a mental health counseling role or a similar capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of the pharmacological effects of prescribed medications and their impacts on clients’ mental health.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective client interaction and case documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a supportive demeanor, establishing rapport with clients and their families.

• Previous telehealth counseling experience, demonstrating adaptability to virtual platforms.
• Training and certifications in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to optimize client care.

We offer a competitive compensation package, with the potential to earn an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 101,000, contingent upon your experience and productivity. In addition, our benefits package includes:
