Position Details:

Job Summary:

The Manager of Scheduling and Eligibility is responsible for the daily oversight of the Centralized Scheduling department, monitoring department personnel’s operational functions, and successfully leading the team to maintain the organization’s goals and objectives while keeping senior leadership informed of all risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to maintain monthly scorecards capturing individual performance including but not limited to attendance, abandoned call rate, patient experience, and quality assurance review outcomes.
  • Works with the corporate training team to develop and maintain training materials to meet the needs of those we serve.
  • Works with the individual hospital leadership team to ensure adherence to established protocols for the scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling of patients.
  • Assists the VP of RCM to establish customer service standards. Responsible to ensure adherence through consistent call center monitoring.
  • Responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and professional rules of decorum.
  • Possesses the ability to work within a remote call center environment, free from distractions and background noise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possesses a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with excellent PowerPoint skillset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems that cross organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to lead the team in a manner that is supportive of creating a department known for its credibility in skillset and execution of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with well-designed materials.
  • Ability to set goals that are measurable and promote growth within the team.

Work Experience, Education and Certifications:

  • Prefer BS/BA in a related field or relevant experience is desired.
  • Previous scheduling experience in the medical field required.
  • Prefer two years of leadership experience directly related or within a comparable discipline.
