Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage day-to-day information technology operations in a fast-paced, remote environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing IT support, infrastructure, systems administration, hardware, networking, asset management, and technology initiatives while providing leadership to a globally distributed IT team. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with practical leadership, takes ownership of issues through resolution, and can build a responsive, dependable IT function that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Manager:

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop members of the Information Technology team.
  • Oversee daily IT operations and ensure consistent, responsive support for employees.
  • Provide leadership across help desk operations, hardware, network infrastructure, systems, software, and IT asset management.
  • Establish and maintain IT service levels, processes, documentation, and operating standards.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, employees, technology partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and architectural leadership across systems and platforms.
  • Evaluate new systems, applications, tools, and technology solutions.
  • Assess solutions based on business needs, security, scalability, integration, cost, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead technology projects, implementations, upgrades, and operational initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize IT backlog, resources, and competing business priorities.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify technology and reporting needs that support continuous improvement.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for technology investments.
  • Monitor IT systems and services to identify risks, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support information security, access management, compliance, and technology governance initiatives.
  • Manage third-party technology vendors and service providers.
  • Present technical recommendations, project updates, risks, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications of the IT Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in information technology, infrastructure, systems administration, IT operations, or a related field.
  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or supervising technical resources.
  • Experience supporting and managing business technology environments.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and operational responsibilities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications of the IT Manager:

  • Experience supporting and managing Microsoft-based environments, including Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of IT operations, help desk management, systems administration, networking, hardware support, identity and access management, and IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading IT projects, managing vendors and technology solutions, and maintaining service performance standards.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to develop and guide technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, work in deadline-driven environments, and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sense of ownership, and willingness to remain hands-on when needed.
