Job description

Join our team! Immediate hire. Apply now!

Flexible schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET.

Ready to advance your sales career in a role where your relationships, initiative, and results shape how far you grow?

CYB Human Resources is hiring a full-time, remote Business Development Representative for immediate hire. CYB is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to turn conversations into opportunities, build genuine relationships, open new doors, and grow a long-term career alongside us.

This is more than another sales position. It is an opportunity to strengthen your business development skills, take on increasing responsibility, and help small and family-owned businesses discover what strong HR support can do for them.

What this role is really about:
This is a relationship-building role, not a lead-burning role. CYB is a boutique, people-first company. We take the time to understand business owners, educate them about what CYB does, and build trust through thoughtful, one-to-one communication.

Your goal is to create genuine relationships, nurture prospects over time, and move qualified opportunities toward a sales conversation when the timing is right. You will not use aggressive tactics, send impersonal messages, or push people through the pipeline simply to meet an activity number.

You won’t be reading from a script or waiting for leads to arrive. You’ll take initiative, start conversations through calls, LinkedIn, email, webinars, and networking, manage your pipeline in HubSpot, follow up consistently, and introduce qualified business owners to me and our team.

We also need someone who pays attention and takes ownership. If an email does not look right, a message sounds too sales-focused, or an outreach strategy is not connecting with prospects, you should recognize the issue, troubleshoot it, and recommend a better approach.

Requirements
  • At least five years of outbound sales or business development experience
  • Currently located in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Proven experience conducting high-volume outbound outreach through calls, email, and LinkedIn
  • Demonstrated ability to generate qualified opportunities and manage consistent follow-up
  • Strong relationship-building, discovery, follow-up, and consultative communication skills
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and correct issues before they affect a prospect relationship
  • Ability to review outreach for tone, quality, accuracy, and personalization rather than sending messages simply to complete an activity
  • Commitment to relationship-based business development that educates and nurtures prospects without pressuring them or burning leads
  • Ability to adapt messaging and follow-up based on each prospect’s business, needs, communication style, and stage in the relationship
  • Comfortable taking initiative, raising concerns, and recommending improvements when a message, process, or strategy is not working
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of outreach activity and results
  • Strong organizational skills with consistent CRM documentation and pipeline management
  • Comfortable using technology, AI tools, virtual meeting platforms, and digital prospecting tools
  • Reliable internet access and a professional, distraction-free remote workspace
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience selling professional, consulting, HR, payroll, financial, or other business services
  • Experience working with or selling services to small and family-owned businesses
  • Experience using HubSpot for prospecting, follow-up, and pipeline management
  • Experience booking qualified meetings with owners, founders, or senior business leaders
  • Demonstrated closing experience or readiness to grow into closing responsibility
  • Existing business relationships or professional networks aligned with CYB’s target market
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Benefits
  • Full-time employment with an immediate start
  • A flexible Monday-through-Friday schedule
  • $25–$27 per hour, based on experience
  • Healthcare Stipend
  • Enrollment into our Simple IRA upon eligibility
  • PTO & Holidays
  • Commission opportunities in addition to the hourly rate
  • A clear path toward full sales and closing responsibility
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career with CYB
Commission opportunity: In addition to the hourly rate, team members who demonstrate the ability to close will become eligible for closing commissions, with the potential to earn thousands of dollars in additional compensation. This is a career-track business development role with meaningful earning and growth potential.
