Business Analyst II - Delivery & Validation

Position Summary

Itero Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst II - Delivery & Validation to support application modernization, technology upgrades, infrastructure initiatives, system migrations, and other complex technology projects within a Project Management Office (PMO).

This role will perform core business analysis responsibilities with a strong focus on requirements traceability, solution validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness, and transition to production. The Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders, Project Managers, Application Development teams, architects, technical teams, vendors, and other project partners to translate business needs into clear, structured, and actionable requirements.

The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker and communicator who can independently manage assigned analysis activities, navigate ambiguity, identify gaps and risks, and ensure business requirements remain connected to solution decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements, business processes, workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Develop current-state and future-state process documentation and perform gap, impact, dependency, and process analysis.
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, including changes to requirements, scope, functionality, and solution decisions.
  • Evaluate proposed technology solutions against documented business requirements, processes, constraints, and intended outcomes.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, impacts, risks, and areas requiring additional analysis or resolution.
UAT & Business Validation
  • Translate validated requirements and business processes into structured UAT scenarios and test cases.
  • Coordinate business testers, testing schedules, test execution, results, and defect tracking.
  • Support functional UAT, regression testing, business process validation, data validation, and other business acceptance activities.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, validation results, defects, changes, and stakeholder acceptance.
  • Work with business and technical teams to ensure identified defects and validation issues are appropriately documented and resolved.
Business & Operational Readiness
  • Support business and operational readiness for application releases, technology upgrades, infrastructure changes, system migrations, and production cutovers.
  • Identify impacted applications, business processes, stakeholders, dependencies, and validation requirements.
  • Contribute to readiness assessments, cutover planning, stakeholder communications, post-implementation validation, and transition-to-production activities.
  • Assess user and stakeholder impacts resulting from technology and process changes.
  • Develop user documentation, job aids, training materials, release communications, and other adoption resources as appropriate for the initiative.
Project Collaboration & Delivery
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, business stakeholders, Application Development, architects, technical teams, vendors, and other project partners.
  • Independently manage assigned analysis activities, deliverables, and competing priorities.
  • Proactively communicate project progress, risks, issues, gaps, dependencies, and recommendations.
  • Produce clear, professional business and technical documentation for both business and technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience performing business analysis for complex technology initiatives.
  • Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and maintaining business and functional requirements.
  • Strong experience developing current-state and future-state processes, workflows, gap analyses, and business impact assessments.
  • Experience evaluating technology solutions against business requirements, business processes, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Experience developing and coordinating UAT and business validation activities, including test scenarios, test cases, defect management, requirements traceability, and stakeholder acceptance.
  • Experience supporting application releases, technology upgrades, system migrations, production cutovers, regression validation, or post-implementation activities.
  • Strong professional writing, analytical, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, identify gaps and risks, take ownership of deliverables, and develop well-reasoned recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting application modernization, infrastructure initiatives, technology upgrades, or system migrations.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable project/test-management tools to manage requirements, test cases, validation results, defects, and delivery artifacts.
  • Experience supporting internally developed applications, including CAI, InfoMap, or comparable regulatory or operational systems.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, government, or public-sector environments.
  • Experience documenting statutory requirements, business rules, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Experience supporting business readiness, organizational change, training, communications, or user adoption activities.
