The Manager Health & Business Analytics is responsible for the use of data and analytics to ensure implementation of company strategy. Responsibilities include guiding the Business Analytics and Data Governance teams to deliver quality technology solutions using Agile practices that effectively meet enterprise needs as well as architectural & security standards to ensure cost effective, stable, secure and maintainable systems.

The ideal candidate will live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska office. This position allows remote flexibility but will have 1 day per week in the office.

What you'll do:

  • Lead Operational Analytics and Data Governance teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Partner with business leaders, data engineering, and governance teams to translate organizational priorities into scalable analytics solutions and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive the organization's transition from traditional reporting to a domain-owned, certified data product model built on a lakehouse platform.
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps, intake processes, prioritization frameworks, and governance standards that align analytics investments with enterprise objectives.
  • Champion data governance practices including data quality, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and stewardship through technologies such as Unity Catalog.
  • Support enterprise AI governance initiatives by ensuring transparency, auditability, compliance, and responsible use of analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Lead the adoption of self-service analytics, automation, and standardized metrics to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of the organization's analytics vision through thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic partnership with senior leaders.
  • Manage team performance, talent development, succession planning, budgeting, coaching, and employee engagement.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience leading analytics, business intelligence, data strategy, or data governance initiatives.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing analytics, data, or technology professionals.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate operational and strategic needs into analytics solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, governance practices, and enterprise analytics delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving business teams, data engineering teams, and technology stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage competing demands, and drive execution across multiple business domains.
  • Extensive business knowledge with the ability to align analytics strategies to organizational goals and operational performance.

The strongest candidates will also have:

  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations, health insurance, managed care, payer analytics, or regulated healthcare environments.
  • Experience implementing or managing enterprise data governance programs, including metadata management, data quality, lineage, stewardship, and access controls.
  • Experience with Databricks, modern cloud analytics platforms, or data product operating models.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and managing analytics product roadmaps.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, model monitoring, compliance, and auditability requirements.
  • Experience building certified data products, governed semantic layers, standardized metrics, and self-service analytics capabilities.
