Job Summary:

Our Remote Building Automation Services (RBAS) team is looking for an RBAS Specialist to join our National Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with foundational experience in the Building Automation industry who is eager to grow their technical expertise and contribute to the development of standards, product evaluation and customer focused applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site commissioning and regular remote inspections in collaboration with field technicians.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Develop and refine applications that meet customer requirements and enhance remote monitoring efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, inspection reports, and service records.
  • Support strategic account initiatives and contribute to major client pursuits & engagements
  • Collaborate & support regional BAS teams coast to coast as determined by hiring manager.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Building Automation.
  • Completion of a four-year university degree, a two- or three-year post-secondary engineering technology or applied science program, or equivalent trade/field experience.
  • Eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

The salary range is $50,000 to $90,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
