Controls Account Executive - Central Kansas - Up to $85,000 Base + Commission + 100% Paid MedicalAbout the Opportunity:

A well-established building automation contractor is seeking a driven Controls Account Executive to support continued expansion throughout Central Kansas. This remote sales position is ideal for someone with strong HVAC or BAS experience who thrives working independently and enjoys being in the field. You'll partner with facility managers, GCs, engineers, and business owners to develop and close building automation projects-supported by one of the region's most reputable integration teams.

Position Details:
  • Title: Controls Account Executive
  • Location: Remote - Based in Central Kansas (Manhattan or Topeka area preferred)
  • Status: Full-Time | Field-Based | Travel Required
Ideal Candidate:
  • Background as a BAS Account Executive, Sales Engineer, or similar technical sales role
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems
  • Track record of developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Ability to perform site walks, review specs, and assemble detailed proposals
  • Proficient in sales strategy, lead generation, and managing an active pipeline
  • Comfort working with owners, engineers, and internal teams to scope solutions
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow and maintain business relationships throughout Central Kansas
  • Conduct regular client meetings, site assessments, and consultations
  • Lead the development of proposals, estimates, and scope documentation
  • Create sales packages and solutions tailored to project and customer needs
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, PMs, and operations teams
  • Drive revenue growth through consultative, relationship-focused selling
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: Up to $85,000 (DOE)
  • Commission: High-earning structure - OTE up to $150,000+ after Year 1
