Job description

Company Description

Circle Logistics is a leading freight brokerage and third-party logistics provider connecting shippers with high-quality carrier partners across multiple transportation modes. We deliver customer-focused, data-driven supply chain solutions with national reach, deep industry expertise, and a reputation for execution. As a private, debt-free company, Circle offers strong growth opportunities, long-term career development, and a collaborative operating environment.

Job Description

We're a growing freight brokerage looking for a hands-on AI Automation Engineer to build intelligent agents and tools that make our team faster and smarter. You'll work directly with our Sales, Account Management, Carrier Sales, and Track & Trace departments — plus our TMS platform, TransportPro — to identify and automate high-impact workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered automation solutions that streamline freight brokerage operations and enhance team productivity
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, Carrier Sales, and Track & Trace teams to understand pain points and gather detailed requirements for automation initiatives
  • Integrate automation tools and intelligent agents with our TransportPro TMS platform to ensure seamless workflow optimization
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze automation performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ROI optimization
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve automation issues to maintain system reliability and minimize operational disruptions
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of automation processes, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users to ensure successful adoption of new automation tools and maximize their effectiveness
  • Stay current with emerging AI and automation technologies to recommend innovative solutions that keep our organization competitive
Qualifications

What You'll Build

  • AI sales coaching tools that give reps real-time guidance, call insights, and performance feedback
  • Track & Trace assistants that proactively surface load status updates, exceptions, and carrier communication - reducing manual check calls
  • Business intelligence agents that pull freight data, spot trends, and deliver actionable insights to managers and reps without digging through reports
  • Workflow automations across quoting, follow-ups, onboarding, and carrier outreach

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience building AI agents using tools like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, n8n, or similar frameworks
  • Strong Python skills and comfort working with REST APIs, webhooks, and data integrations
  • Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4, Claude, or open-source alternatives
  • Experience building business intelligence or decision-support tools powered by LLMs
  • Proficiency with SQL and database querying for data extraction and manipulation
  • Ability to work directly with department teams to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and see projects through to deployment
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integrations and debug automation workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and train end users
  • Freight, logistics, or supply chain industry experience is a plus; TMS platform experience is a significant advantage

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary + performance bonus
  • [Health / Dental / Vision] benefits
  • [Remote/Hybrid / On-site] flexibility
  • Real ownership and impact from day one
