This is a remote position; a candidate local to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA or Fort Worth, TX) or with the ability to travel is preferred. US citizenship is required.Responsibilities(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)Oversees cost proposal development and pricing strategies for major and strategic proposalsEnsures compliance with the estimating system manual as well as other policies and proceduresManages and integrates daily work assignments, develops project schedules, budgets, and plans, and manages personnel, finances, and facilities to achieve proposal objectivesDevelops and implements new business capture/proposal strategies for achieving company new business objectivesDevelops and executes business and proposal development objectives within established budgets to reach determined goalsDirects and manages people and financial resources to achieve company strategic and tactical new business objectivesMaintains a good working relationship with all Program/Project Managers and upper management to attain success objectivesThis working manager position is expected to take on proposal efforts and have the capability to perform at the highest pricing analyst levelKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesComprehensive understanding of proposal development and strategy that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in acquiring new and follow-on businessEffective leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to review and write pricing narrative responsesExtensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Working knowledge of U.S.

Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunitiesWorking knowledge of the components of basis of estimates and bills of materialsDemonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail. Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.Advanced Excel and mathematical skillsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in an associated discipline; two (2) years' experience in contracts or pricing may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of collegeTwelve (12) years' experience in cost proposal preparation or cost proposal development; relevant finance experience may be considered for some years in lieu of cost proposal preparation and development; 8 years' experience with a Master's degree.Five (5) years in a management position preferredExperience in base operations support, range operations, Space Force, NASA contractsUS Citizenship is required to applyTravelTravel may be required to HQ facilities, 10-20%Compensation Details$150k - $185kThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
