Are you looking for a position in which you can build strong relationships within your community? As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for promoting the All In Credit Union Mortgage products and services. By delivering compelling presentations to potential members to counseling and coordinating loan registration material, your role is essential to generating quality mortgage leads.
ROLE:
This individual is responsible for originating quality mortgage loans that meet All In Credit Union guidelines by building relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, credit union branches, past customers, and other nontraditional sources while providing excellent member service. Strong sales and organizational skills are essential. The position is salary with commission opportunities. Position not eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provides a superior member experience by actively listening and assessing the needs of the member(s) and offering targeted solutions to these needs.
-Deliver presentations to promote All In Credit Union's Mortgage products to realtors, builders, and financial professionals to generate quality mortgage leads.
-Consistently maintains a professional, respectful, and courteous approach when interacting with member/owners and internal contacts to maintain quality service.
-Counsels members regarding services to maintain quality member/owner service, knowledge, and satisfaction, and achieve established sales goals and objectives.
-Coordinates loan registration and documentation to ensure proper and timely processing; works with mortgage software system as necessary.
-Stay abreast of competitor programs; research and evaluate opportunities; submits recommendations for consideration
-Monitors and updates loan information requested by mortgage processors to keep files accurate and current.
-Demonstrates effective face to face communications, telephone interaction, and written communications. Responds in a clear, concise manner, using appropriate mode of communication.
-Corresponds and works with other departments as necessary in order to efficiently process member(s) loan information.
-Provides timely feedback to appropriate parties to facilitate accurate decision making.
-Represents All In Credit Union in community activities in a positive, professional image in order to promote the development of mortgage department to the public
-Performs up to the standards of the All In Credit Union Core Competencies.
-Develop knowledge of Credit Union products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements.
-Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions.
-Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching member(s) needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk.
-Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for All In Credit Union in the marketplace.
-Be familiar with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC, Reg Z and Patriot Act
-Perform other duties as needed and required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience:Two (2) year mortgage origination experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Mortgage lending and secretarial courses helpful or appropriate experience may be substituted.
