As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Deliver comprehensive therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling tailored to meet client needs.
• Engage with clients to establish and pursue clearly defined treatment goals while ensuring their progress is tracked and documented.
• Provide guidance and education to clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to create integrated treatment plans that address the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of patient care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation including client case notes, treatment plans, and progress reports to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss cases and share best practices, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops aimed at enhancing client skills related to daily living, coping strategies, and emotional resilience.
• Monitor client safety and mental state, adapting therapeutic approaches as necessary and ensuring quick intervention during crises.
• Assist clients with practical aspects of daily life such as meal planning, budgeting, transportation, and medication management to support holistic treatment.

You will work with a diverse client population reflective of the multicultural landscape of Rancho Cucamonga, providing services to individuals facing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Your ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds will enrich their experience and engagement in treatment.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT in California; please note that associates licenses are not billable through Medicare.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, facilitating remote work communication and documentation.
• A proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple cases effectively.
• Strong self-direction and the capability to manage workloads with minimal supervision.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Experience working with geriatric populations and an understanding of age-related mental health issues.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record systems.
• A history of community engagement or involvement in outreach programs.
