We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part-time bookkeeper to support the accounting operations of two real estate offices. This is a remote, hourly employee position that is expected to average approximately 20-25 hours per week after the initial onboarding period.
The position will initially require additional hours while the selected candidate learns our systems, reviews existing records, and completes account reconciliation work. After that initial period, the workload should settle into a consistent part-time schedule.
Our accounting is maintained on a cash basis. The work is not highly complex, but it requires accuracy, persistence, sound bookkeeping judgment, and the ability to follow established workflows. The right candidate will be comfortable reviewing accounts, identifying differences, tracing transactions, and completing recurring bookkeeping tasks without constant supervision.
The schedule is generally flexible, but the employee must be reasonably available during Eastern Time business hours. Certain responsibilities, including commission payments and time-sensitive accounting activities, must be completed on established deadlines.
This position reports directly to the company owner.
Pay: $19$23 per hour, based on relevant education and experience.
Expected hours: Approximately 2025 hours per week after the initial onboarding and account-review period.
