Job Summary:
Our client seeks a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with generating sales leads, discovering new business opportunities, and expanding the customer base within the moving freight sector.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve or surpass revenue targets for the moving freight business
  • Identify and cultivate new business prospects, establishing relationships with potential customers, partners, and vendors
  • Conduct market analysis to remain current on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Create and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular sales reports to senior management
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience in sales/business development within the logistics industry, specifically in moving freight
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and developing new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of logistics, including freight forwarding, transportation, and warehousing
