What are remote book layout designers?

Remote book layout designers are professionals who specialize in arranging the visual elements of a book, such as text, images, and graphics, to ensure readability and aesthetic appeal. They work from a location outside of a traditional office, often from home, and collaborate with authors, publishers, or editors online. Their responsibilities include selecting fonts, setting margins, organizing chapters, and making sure the book meets publishing standards for both print and digital formats. Remote book layout designers use specialized software like Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher to create professional, publication-ready layouts.
