Job description

Cancer Screening Programs Advisor

Our leaders shape strategic initiatives, develop passionate teams, and work to improve health outcomes. They advance our mission and exemplify excellence, compassion, teamwork and purpose in all that they doIndiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Cancer Institute team in the role of Cancer Screening Programs Advisor.

Oversee the strategy, governance, implementation, and enterprise alignment of the cancer screening program initiatives and interrelated projects (e.g. Program for Early Detection and Prevention). Align and integrate strategies with cross-functional priorities such as the lung cancer research registry, lung screening research working group, inpatient and ER initiatives to support cancer screening awareness, etc. The role is key to improving cancer screening outcomes through strategic leadership, cross-functional influence, communication, and implementation and integration of key strategies. Maintains strong working relationship with the Healthy Workforce initiatives team, including the mobile mammography and community van programs in development. This role provides leadership that extends beyond project delivery to ensure long term business impact and value.

This role can be fully onsite, hybrid, or fully remote Monday-Friday day shift with flexibility as needed, supporting lung cancer screening. Candidates should possess strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.    
  • Requires 4-6 years of relevant experience.    
  • Requires at least 3+ years experience in a clinical or operational management role, or experience with quality improvement.     
  • Requires Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Awareness     
  • Proven experience in healthcare such as public health, population health, care management, or health plan.    
  • Knowledge of health regulations and compliance expectations such as HIPAA and ERISA.
