Job description

Overview:
No driving off to offsite locations. assigned to Central Energy Plant.
Job Description Summary:
Conducts preventative maintenance and operates high pressure boilers to generate steam for heating and power generation.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
  • Inspects, cleans, lubricates, paints, and repairs high-pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Conducts regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues. Works with and schedules inspectors for annual shutdowns.
  • Tests and conducts analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems.
  • Records and maintains accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
  • Cleans and maintains the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale.
  • Responds quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation.

Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement:
State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License, required.

  • Three years of experience working with High Pressure Boilers, required.
