ABOUT US
At HUB International, we are a team of entrepreneurs. We believe in protecting and supporting the aspirations of individuals, families, and businesses. We help our clients evaluate their risks and develop solutions tailored to their needs. We believe in empowering our employees to learn, grow, and make a difference. Our structure enables our teams to maintain their own unique, regional culture while leveraging support and resources from our corporate centers of excellence.
HUB is a global insurance and employee benefits broker, providing a boundaryless array of business insurance, employee benefits, risk services, personal insurance, retirement, and private wealth management products and services. With over $5 billion in revenue and almost 20,000 employees in 600 offices throughout North America, HUB has grown substantially, in part due to our industry leading success in mergers and acquisitions.
POSITION SUMMARY
About Us
Communication & Design, often referred to as C&D, is a specialty practice of HUB. We are a team of creative professionals consisting of writers, designers, consultants, project managers, and web and app developers. Our team creates multi-channel campaigns that include print, digital and web-based projects. Most of our work focuses on Employee Benefit Communications, whose aim is to engage employees and make their benefits information easy to understand. If you've ever received a work email letting you know you only have two days left to enroll in health insurance, that's us! Now we're looking for an experienced graphic designer to help keep our work fresh, inclusive and fun.
Designers are the creative centers of our team, making our communications so bright and alluring that no reader can ignore them (not even the emails about retirement funds). As a designer, you'll edit and update existing materials to meet our clients' brand guidelines and get the chance to create original designs. If you can balance your artistic skills with client expectations, you'll shine with us.
Our team of professionals embraces humor, creativity and individuality. Our team members include pet lovers, crafters, Netflix couch potatoes, board game collectors and more, so don't hide your spark! We'd love to know what makes you tick.
This is a temporary position. We are looking for a commitment July 20 - November 6, 2026.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for people who are friendly and communicative, who have high attention to detail and who are creative and organized. We are an Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress team. As such, expertise with these tools is a must. You should be able to interpret and uphold our clients' visual brand guidelines for multiple clients, and flow seamlessly from project to project, always bringing an adept sense of design and refined attention to detail. If you can meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, this is the place for you.
A day in the life of a Designer
  • Guess what? ...you're remote! There is no commute time.
  • You'll grab water, a tea or coffee and log in to your company-provided laptop and dual 24-inch monitors. Yes, we work exclusively on a PC in Windows connected to the HUB universe.
  • You're part of a team and will work closely with them, communicating via email, Teams chat and Teams video meetings.
  • We use a project management system to track and manage our workflow, with training provided.
  • Working within design guidelines, standards and best practices, you'll produce and deliver amazing work, on time and on brand.
  • Staying organized is essential; you'll manage client assets and develop, organize and maintain client folders within a shared network.
  • If that doesn't sound tantalizing, each day you'll navigate multiple projects for multiple clients.
  • Did we mention no commute time? You log off for the night and step into your life.

Our expectations for all Team Members:
  • Willingness to dedicate extra time and attention to complete tasks, when required. Our "busy season" is typically late August through late November.
  • Be yourself and work toward the overall improvement of who we are and what we do at HUB.
  • Be ready to lend a helping hand when needed and be ready to ask for help when needed!

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Remote professional office environment (office equipment including a laptop with the requisite software and/or phone will be provided). You may be remote, but you won't be alone - you'll meet our team members during new employee training, keep in touch through Microsoft Teams chats and catch up with everyone over Teams video sessions.
  • High-speed, dependable internet is a must.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essentials. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Fast and accurate hands-on skills in Adobe Creative Suite, along with basic proficiency in WordPress
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Employee benefits knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • A creative mind and a great portfolio that showcases your abilities
