Brighter Days Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our thriving outpatient psychiatry team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide mental health care primarily in a remote setting, with a focus on delivering quality treatment to clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

The work setting for this position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to deliver therapy from the comfort of your home. However, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at our Hospice Center when necessary. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mood disorders to evaluate symptoms, their impact on daily functioning, and the necessity for intervention.
• Collaborate effectively with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals, preferences and therapeutic needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies to enhance self-care and coping skills.
• Monitor and assess client progress on a regular basis, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a client's mental health are addressed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in a timely and confidential manner, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's collective knowledge.
• Serve as an advocate for clients’ needs, working to reduce stigma related to mental health challenges and promoting access to necessary care.

In this role, you will focus on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will work with a diverse client base, encompassing various ages, backgrounds, and life experiences, which enriches both your professional practice and therapeutic approach.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license to practice as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to communicate effectively with psychiatrists regarding medication management.
• Demonstrated success in treating mood disorders as evidenced by positive client outcomes and feedback.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to establish trust and rapport with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

• At least three years of clinical experience working in mental health settings, preferably with a focus on mood disorders.
• Experience with teletherapy or remote counseling is a plus, given the nature of the work environment.

This full-time position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
