Both roles require specific certifications and are essential in healthcare revenue cycle management, but they serve distinct functions within the industry.

How does a remote biller typically communicate and coordinate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies?

As a Remote Biller, you will frequently collaborate with departments such as coding, patient services, and insurance verification teams to address and resolve billing discrepancies. Communication is usually handled through secure email, virtual meetings, and shared software platforms to ensure sensitive information is protected. Proactive follow-ups and clear documentation are key to ensuring timely resolution of issues. Adapting to different communication styles and maintaining professionalism while working independently are essential for success in this role.

How to become a remote medical biller?

To become a remote medical biller, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with training in medical billing and coding, which can be obtained through online courses or certification programs. What is a remote biller?

Remote Billers are professionals who handle billing and invoicing tasks for organizations from a remote location, often working from home. Their responsibilities typically include preparing and sending invoices, processing payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. Remote Billers use specialized billing or accounting software and must communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely payment and resolve any billing issues. This role is common in industries like healthcare, legal, and business services, where accurate and efficient billing is essential.

How to become a remote biller in the healthcare industry?

To become a remote medical biller, you need at least a high school diploma or equivalent. You then need to complete a medical billing training course; these programs are offered at community colleges and vocational schools and typically last nine to twelve months. During your training, you learn human anatomy, healthcare terminology, medical codes, and other related skills you need to fulfill your job duties. Many remote billers start their careers in-house, but there are remote entry-level opportunities available through medical billing agencies. When looking for jobs, watch out for scams; many so-called opportunities are companies that want to sell you information, such as a list of job leads or a home-based medical billing business model.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote biller, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Biller, you need a solid understanding of medical billing processes, insurance claims, and relevant regulations, often supported by a certification such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS). Familiarity with medical billing software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and claims management platforms is typically required. Strong attention to detail, time management, and effective communication skills help ensure accuracy and efficient collaboration with healthcare providers and payers. These competencies are crucial for minimizing errors, expediting reimbursements, and maintaining compliance in a remote work environment.

Job description

Why Arcoro?
Want to work with a solid company that's transforming HR for the construction industry? Our team of dedicated professionals helps construction, contracting and field services companies hire, manage and grow their workforce with a market-leading SaaS solution. As a member of the A-Team, you'll enjoy a top-notch employee experience where you can embrace your problem-solving skills and innovation, work with a team of great colleagues and see the impact of your contribution each day Our culture is collaborative, and we believe strongly in training, growth and internal advancement. We offer competitive compensation including comprehensive benefits and a generous time-off policy. We offer both on-site and remote opportunities.
At Arcoro, you will help create software products that are cutting edge, easy to use, and that make an appreciated and notable difference in our customer's daily lives.
About The Job:
We're hiring a Senior Salesforce Administrator to own and evolve the technical backbone that connects Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Our environment is genuinely complex: Salesforce CPQ driving quote-to-cash, NetSuite and NetSuite SuiteBilling handling billing and financials, and MuleSoft integrating it all together. This isn't a "keep the lights on" admin role. We need a builder who can operate at expert level across a multi-system architecture, untangle complex data flows, and deliver solutions fast without sacrificing precision.
What you will be doing:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary administrator for Salesforce.com and Salesforce CPQ, including configuration, workflow/flow automation, page layouts, security model, and release management
  • Own and optimize the integration layer between Salesforce, NetSuite, NetSuite SuiteBilling, and MuleSoft, ensuring data integrity across the full quote-to-cash lifecycle
  • Partner directly with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leaders to translate evolving business requirements into scalable, well-architected solutions, not just tickets closed
  • Design and maintain reporting and dashboards that give leadership accurate, timely visibility into pipeline, bookings, renewals, and customer health
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data flow issues across systems, identifying root cause rather than applying point fixes
  • Manage the CPQ product catalog, pricing rules, quote templates, and approval workflows as products and packaging evolve
  • Proactively identify technical debt, process inefficiencies, and automation opportunities across the revenue systems stack
  • Maintain rigorous documentation, data governance, and change management discipline across a high-change environment
  • Evaluate and implement new AppExchange products, integrations, or platform capabilities as the business scales
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles (territory, quota, comp) from a systems configuration standpoint

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including Salesforce CPQ (required); Salesforce Administrator certification required, Advanced Administrator or CPQ Specialist certification strongly preferred
  • Proven experience integrating Salesforce with financial/ERP platforms; direct experience with NetSuite and/or NetSuite SuiteBilling is a strong plus
  • Experience working with or administering MuleSoft or a comparable middleware/integration platform
  • A demonstrated track record operating in a highly complex, multi-system environment with intricate data flows, not just single-system administration
  • Strong quote-to-cash and order-to-cash process knowledge, including how CPQ, billing, and revenue recognition intersect
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with the ability to move quickly. You catch the edge case and still ship on time
  • A consultative, partnership-driven approach with cross-functional stakeholders. You can push back on a bad requirement and propose a better one
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with business requirements that shift as the company scales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical executives
  • SaaS/B2B software company experience strongly preferred

Perks and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • 401(k) with Company match
  • Medical/Dental/ Vision, STD/LTD, Life Insurance
  • Company-paid holidays, sick pay & Flexible Time Off
  • Hybrid/Remote Work
