Remote Bible Study information

What is a remote Bible study?

A remote Bible study is a group or individual study session focused on the Bible that takes place online or over the phone, rather than in person. Participants may use video conferencing platforms, group chats, or phone calls to read and discuss scripture together. This format allows people from different locations to connect, learn, and grow in their faith without needing to meet physically. Remote Bible studies can be organized by churches, small groups, or individuals who wish to study the Bible with others.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Bible Study Leader, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Bible Study Leader, you need a strong foundation in biblical knowledge, teaching ability, and often a background in theology or ministry. Familiarity with online communication platforms (such as Zoom or Google Meet) and digital resource management is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, and cultural sensitivity help foster meaningful discussions and group engagement. These competencies ensure effective spiritual guidance, participant connection, and smooth facilitation in a virtual environment.
