Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Trauma-Informed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact in the lives of individuals coping with trauma and PTSD. You will be responsible for providing therapy sessions, conducting mental health assessments, and collaborating with fellow counselors to deliver high-quality care.

Work Environment

Our counseling services are delivered through a remote work setting that facilitates flexibility and accessibility for our clients and providers alike. As part of a Community Health Clinic, you will be empowered to create your own schedule, seeing up to 25 clients per week. You will have access to essential administrative support, including reception, billing services, and clinical supervision, allowing you to concentrate on what you do bestโ€”providing exceptional care to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for new clients, determining their needs and creating an individualized treatment plan.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for clients coping with trauma and PTSD, utilizing methods such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
  • Maintain consistent client sessions, up to bi-weekly, and facilitate termination sessions as clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
  • Assess safety concerns for clients in rural settings and develop crisis management strategies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with fellow counselors for consultation, supervision, and client referrals, enhancing the overall quality of care.
  • Prepare detailed notes and documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including workshops and consultation groups.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting adults, children, adolescents, and families who are navigating the aftermath of traumatic experiences. Clients often struggle with issues related to complex PTSD, attachment trauma, and various emotional difficulties. Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
