Position Overview

MultiCare Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This position operates primarily in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and convenience while maintaining a strong focus on patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting Assessments: Perform thorough psychiatric and psychosocial evaluations, including comprehensive mental status exams, to understand each patientโ€™s unique needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans with patients that address their specific challenges; this may involve individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
  • Delivering Therapeutic Services: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and supportive therapies, such as role-playing, modeling, and assertiveness training, to enhance patientsโ€™ social skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, adhering to organizational policies, and track patient progress through outcome measurements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse clinical team and liaise with external referral sources to enhance the continuum of care for patients.
  • Evaluation and Outcomes: Continually assess treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing various mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your interactions will extend beyond individuals to include families seeking therapeutic guidance. You will engage with clients through individual sessions, psychoeducational groups, and family interventions, fostering a supportive and healing environment.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Current active licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of three years of experience providing direct patient care in a mental health setting.
  • Strong written communication skills for quality note-taking and intake reporting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple clients effectively.
