Robina Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. You will play a critical role in enhancing our clients' psychological well-being through comprehensive evaluations, tailored treatment plans, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions and manage client interactions from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Robina Behavioral Health Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting preliminary interviews and accurately documenting client information from initial consultations through to the completion of treatment.
  • Evaluating each client’s mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify challenges and treatment needs.
  • Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, or groups.
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Monitoring client progress throughout treatment and adjusting plans collaboratively with clients as needed.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to optimize client care.
  • Following up with hospital staff regarding clients admitted for inpatient care, ensuring smooth transitions to outpatient treatment.
  • Identifying potential barriers to recovery and employing strategies to mitigate these challenges.
  • Providing support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers to foster understanding and involvement in the recovery process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position serves a diverse client base, including adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. You will be expected to engage effectively with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, demonstrating sensitivity and adaptability in your counseling approach.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective client interaction and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a community or clinical setting.
