Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and carefully document the client's journey from initial assessment to treatment conclusion.
  • Evaluate clients’ mental health status, addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues through standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring to incorporate evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and emotional expression.
  • Monitor client progress by tracking adherence to treatment plans and adjusting approaches as necessary to foster recovery.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to create integrated care strategies.
  • Follow up with physicians to ensure continuity of care for clients involving medication management or hospitalization.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery, providing clients and their families with strategies to mitigate these challenges.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers by providing resources and strategies to help them manage their loved ones’ mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Robina Behavioral Health Center serves a diverse client base, including individuals facing various mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and addiction disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience using AVATAR.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in a mental health counseling role with a proven track record of effective client outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable about co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, and understanding the nuances of addiction recovery.
  • Familiarity with the guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Strong interpersonal and empathetic communication skills, allowing for a deep connection with clients.
