Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and tailor effective treatment approaches.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience building, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective therapeutic support.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at assisting patients in processing trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and promoting overall healing.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and integrated treatment strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your skills to stabilize and guide patients through difficult moments.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, aiding in their understanding and recovery journey.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accountability and quality assurance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve treating adults and adolescents who are managing the psychological impacts of trauma. Many clients may be experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, or various dissociative disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
