Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on building resilience in individuals.
• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to guide patients through their healing processes, helping them develop effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure that patients receive holistic, integrated care for their mental health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a focus on patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma-focused therapies to continually improve your practice and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Benchmark Behavioral Health Solutions, we specialize in treating individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population consists of diverse individuals, including children, adolescents, and adults, many of whom have faced significant life challenges. The therapist's role is critical in helping these individuals navigate their healing journeys.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington state.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and engage with patients compassionately.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
• Capability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate various digital tools efficiently.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work synergistically with other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a similar outpatient setting, particularly focused on mental health and trauma recovery.
• Advanced training in specific trauma therapies or modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
