• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments via telehealth platforms to evaluate client needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group counseling sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive online space for clients to share and explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Monitor client progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to deliver cohesive and holistic care.
• Provide timely referrals to other mental health specialists or community resources as appropriate.
• Support and educate family members and caregivers, empowering them with strategies to address mental health challenges.
• Document all client interactions accurately using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

In this role, you will serve a diverse population of clients facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be critical in managing cases across different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Emphasis is placed on recognizing the intersectionality of mental health with other socio-economic and cultural factors, drawing on your understanding of clients' backgrounds to inform your therapeutic approach.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong clinical insight and capacity for critical thinking in complex mental health situations.
• Proficient with electronic health record systems like AVATAR or similar platforms to maintain client documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and compassionate interactions with clients and colleagues.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably with expertise in telehealth.
• Familiarity with addiction disorders and the impact of physical health issues on mental well-being.
• Adept at applying best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, along with how they intersect with counseling practices.
