The Mercy Vale Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to engage with clients via telehealth and to provide comprehensive mental health support tailored to individual needs. This position is performed in a remote setting, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients effectively. • Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and specific needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings, with clear objectives and strategies for therapeutic intervention.
• Engage clients in regular therapy sessions utilizing various evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness approaches.
• Monitor clients’ progress towards treatment goals and make adjustments to therapeutic plans as necessary.
• Facilitate referrals to additional healthcare providers when needed, including psychiatrists or specialized therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to provide insight and collaborate on challenging cases.

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, each presenting unique challenges and backgrounds. This includes individuals experiencing mental health issues such as generalized anxiety, major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and various substance use disorders. Special attention will be given to culturally relevant practices, ensuring therapy resonates and meets the specific needs of clients from varied backgrounds.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and best practices for cultural sensitivity in therapy.
• Capability to deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing inclusive methodologies.
• Proven crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport-building with diverse client populations.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and adherence to clinical documentation standards.
• Strong commitment to maintaining ethical practices and confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong therapeutic community.

• Demonstrated experience in at least one specialized area of mental health, such as addiction, trauma, or family therapy.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and virtual counseling best practices.
• Engagement in continuing education initiatives to enhance clinical skills and professional development.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
