Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager, Tapo App Experience & AI to lead the evolution of the Tapo mobile application experience for our smart camera ecosystem. This role will focus on two key areas: driving AI-powered innovation within the Tapo app and enhancing the overall user interface and user journey experience. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with a passion for emerging technologies, user-centered design, and smart home innovation. This individual will work closely with users to identify pain points, translate user stories into impactful product features, and partner with cross-functional R&D teams to deliver intuitive, AI-driven experiences that modernize how customers interact with their smart homes. We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving real-world customer problems, and has the creativity, urgency, and execution mindset to bring innovative ideas from concept to reality. Candidates who may not yet hold a Senior title but strongly align with this profile are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Tapo mobile app features, including ideation, planning, design, development, launch, optimization, and ongoing iteration
  • Drive AI-focused product initiatives within the Tapo app, modernizing existing features and developing new AI-powered experiences for smart camera users
  • Identify user pain points and opportunities through customer feedback, user research, analytics, and market trends, translating insights into innovative product solutions
  • Partner closely with R&D, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define requirements and execute product roadmaps
  • Improve the app's user interface, workflows, and customer journey to deliver intuitive and engaging smart home experiences
  • Develop compelling user stories and feature concepts that demonstrate the practical value and power of AI technologies to end users
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and emerging technology assessments to ensure the Tapo app remains innovative and industry-leading
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), user engagement metrics, and customer feedback to guide feature optimization and product improvements
  • Write detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and clearly communicate business and technical requirements to cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure app experiences align with customer expectations, usability best practices, and modern mobile design standards
  • Drive alignment across departments and stakeholders to ensure timely execution and delivery of product initiatives
  • Operate effectively in a fast-moving, startup-like environment with the ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and execute with urgency

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related technical field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience, preferably focused on mobile applications, consumer software, smart home platforms, or connected devices
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven product experiences, machine learning concepts, or emerging AI technologies within consumer applications
  • Proven experience managing mobile app products or large-scale software features through the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience designing and optimizing user experiences, user flows, and customer journeys within mobile or web applications
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior, user research methodologies, and data-driven product decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to independently define product strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and drive execution across cross-functional teams
  • Experience writing detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across remote and global teams
  • Strong analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver innovative solutions
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Passion for emerging technologies, AI innovation, and delivering impactful user experiences in the smart home space
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency in delivering high-quality results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in consumer electronics, smart home, IoT, AI-powered applications, or connected device ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience using smart home products and a strong understanding of how smart home technologies improve daily life
  • Experience launching or managing AI-enabled consumer-facing features within mobile applications
  • Familiarity with camera technologies, video-related applications, or intelligent home monitoring systems
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments with rapidly evolving priorities and product roadmaps
  • Technical background or experience collaborating closely with software engineering, AI, or machine learning teams
