What is a remote BCBA non clinical?

A Remote BCBA Non Clinical is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works outside of direct clinical practice, typically in roles such as consulting, training, program development, quality assurance, or research. Instead of providing therapy directly to clients, these professionals may create treatment programs, supervise other clinicians, analyze data, or support organizations in implementing behavioral interventions. The role is performed remotely, allowing flexibility and the ability to work from various locations. This position is ideal for BCBAs seeking to leverage their expertise in behavior analysis in administrative, educational, or advisory capacities.

What are the typical responsibilities of a remote BCBA non clinical?

In a remote non-clinical BCBA role, you may focus on tasks such as designing training programs for staff, developing organizational behavior management strategies, creating and reviewing ABA policies, or consulting with schools and agencies to improve service delivery. These roles often involve data analysis, resource development, and virtual collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. While client-facing therapy is not a primary duty, strong communication and project management skills are valuable as you support organizational goals and ensure best practices in behavior analysis are followed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote BCBA non clinical?

To thrive as a Remote BCBA Non-Clinical, you need a solid background in applied behavior analysis, a current BCBA certification, and experience with program development or supervision outside of direct clinical care. Familiarity with data analysis tools, practice management software, and telehealth platforms is commonly required. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential soft skills for collaborating with teams and delivering training or consultation remotely. These skills ensure high-quality behavioral support services, efficient remote operations, and successful outcomes for organizations and clients.

Job description

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing clinical team in a fully remote, full-time capacity. This position is ideal for a BCBA who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based ABA services and who thrives in a flexible, technology-driven environment. As a remote BCBA, you will oversee client care, provide clinical supervision, and ensure treatment fidelity across a caseload of clients receiving services in North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and regularly update behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment goals.
  • Provide ongoing clinical supervision and training to RBTs and behavior technicians, both in-person and via telehealth.
  • Conduct regular caregiver training and collaborate with families to support generalization of skills.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, reassessments, and reauthorization requests in compliance with NC Medicaid and payer requirements.
  • Monitor client progress through data analysis and adjust programming as clinically indicated.
  • Ensure full compliance with BACB ethical guidelines, state licensure requirements, and payer-specific documentation standards.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NC Medicaid ABA policy changes, including CCP 8F requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Active, unrestricted North Carolina behavior analyst license (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of post-certification clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NC Medicaid ABA billing, documentation, and telehealth policy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic data collection systems.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills suited to a remote work environment.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Flexible remote schedule.
  • Manageable caseload with administrative support.
  • CEU reimbursement and support for license renewal.
  • Health benefits and PTO (add specifics: medical/dental/vision, 401k, etc.).
  • Opportunities for professional growth within a supportive clinical team.
