What is a remote BCBA non clinical?

A Remote BCBA Non Clinical is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works outside of direct clinical practice, typically in roles such as consulting, training, program development, quality assurance, or research. Instead of providing therapy directly to clients, these professionals may create treatment programs, supervise other clinicians, analyze data, or support organizations in implementing behavioral interventions. The role is performed remotely, allowing flexibility and the ability to work from various locations. This position is ideal for BCBAs seeking to leverage their expertise in behavior analysis in administrative, educational, or advisory capacities.

What are the typical responsibilities of a remote BCBA non clinical?

In a remote non-clinical BCBA role, you may focus on tasks such as designing training programs for staff, developing organizational behavior management strategies, creating and reviewing ABA policies, or consulting with schools and agencies to improve service delivery. These roles often involve data analysis, resource development, and virtual collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. While client-facing therapy is not a primary duty, strong communication and project management skills are valuable as you support organizational goals and ensure best practices in behavior analysis are followed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote BCBA non clinical?

To thrive as a Remote BCBA Non-Clinical, you need a solid background in applied behavior analysis, a current BCBA certification, and experience with program development or supervision outside of direct clinical care. Familiarity with data analysis tools, practice management software, and telehealth platforms is commonly required. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential soft skills for collaborating with teams and delivering training or consultation remotely. These skills ensure high-quality behavioral support services, efficient remote operations, and successful outcomes for organizations and clients.

Job description

Title: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Oncology

Territory: Northern California

Natera is a clinical genetic testing company specializing in non-invasive, cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and liquid biopsy testing. We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for our Oncology portfolio to primarily support Signatera, our personalized, tumor-informed minimal residual disease (MRD) test. In this field-based role, you will serve as a scientific expert responsible for engaging healthcare providers, sharing peer-reviewed clinical data, and delivering accurate information that proactively informs disease management.

At Natera, we remember there is a person behind every sample. The MSL operates with a high degree of ownership and urgency, delivering advanced genetic testing data that changes patient outcomes when timing and accuracy matter most. This role focuses on building strong scientific relationships, delivering clear and accurate clinical education, and bringing back actionable insights from the field to change the management of disease worldwide.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with oncology healthcare providers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within a defined territory.
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and clinically relevant education on Natera's oncology molecular diagnostics and clinical data.
  • Drive territory strategy quickly and adapt as Medical Affairs priorities shift.
  • Identify and communicate field insights, including oncology treatment trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in a timely, compliant, and scientifically rigorous manner.
  • Support execution of Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards and medical education programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on oncology disease states, clinical data, and the broader diagnostics market.
  • Partner closely with commercial and clinical teams to support patient care without compromising scientific truth.
  • Take personal accountability for doing things the right way, adhering strictly to healthcare regulations and internal standards.
  • Support and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and regional study sites.
  • Accurately track territory engagement and document actionable clinical insights.
  • Travel extensively (over 60%) across the territory for clinical engagement and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Advanced healthcare or scientific degree preferred (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.N.P.), with a minimum of a Master's degree required.
  • Prior Medical Affairs or MSL experience in oncology or molecular diagnostics preferred.
  • Must reside within the assigned Northern California territory.
  • Technical expertise and the research ability to clearly explain complex genetic testing data and clinical products to oncology specialists.
  • Experience establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong team-oriented work ethic.
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively and take the initiative to build structure and processes where none currently exist.
  • Use clear, straightforward language to communicate clinical evidence effectively without heavy jargon.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the capacity to adjust quickly to unexpected clinical tasks or strategy shifts.
  • High level of personal accountability, ownership, and sound scientific judgment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a remote, field-based position requiring daily use of a computer and the ability to travel extensively.
  • Duties require flexibility around scheduling to support evening or weekend clinical meetings when necessary.
  • Employees must complete required training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain current status on all Natera organizational training requirements.
