Ministry Position Summary

The Development Coordinator manages the coordination of fundraising and donor communication campaigns, ensuring timelines, workflows, and deliverables across development, marketing, operations, and vendors stay on track. This role supports the production of direct mail, digital, email, and event-related campaign materials, including segmentation requests, copy, creative assets, quality checks, and launch execution. Additionally, the position maintains campaign documentation, assists with reporting and post-campaign analysis, and supports stewardship and follow-up efforts to strengthen donor engagement.

Key Ministry Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Coordination & Execution Support:
  • Coordinate campaign timelines and workflows, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Support production and implementation of fundraising campaigns across mail, email, and digital channels
  • Assist with preparation and quality assurance of campaign materials, including emails, landing pages, and mail files
  • Coordinate internal approvals and communication between development, marketing, and vendors

Digital & CRM Support:
  • Assist with building and scheduling email campaigns and digital assets
  • Support segmentation and list preparation in coordination with development operations
  • Utilize CRM and marketing platforms to build campaigns and support campaign execution and donor communications
  • Assist in tracking campaign performance and compiling reports


Stewardship & Donor Engagement Support:
  • Support stewardship communications including donor follow-ups, acknowledgment processes, and engagement efforts
  • Assist with recurring donor and general donor communications
  • Prepare donor lists, recognition materials, and communication support items

Events & Major Gifts Support:
  • Support development events including registration tracking, attendee communication, and post-event follow-up
  • Prepare donor and attendee lists and assist with CRM updates
  • Provide administrative support to Major Gift Officers, including portfolio lists and follow-up tracking

Development Administration:
  • Maintain organized campaign and donor records, documentation, and files
  • Assist in preparing reports, meeting materials, and internal documentation for the development team and VP
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient development operations

Minimum Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Competencies
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience
Skills: Analytical, Detailed-oriented, verbal and written competencies, multi-tasker, team player
Experience: 2-4 years experience in fast-paced coordinator preferably with nonprofit development, marketing, or administrative support
Knowledge areas: Comfortable and experienced with development processes, contribution systems (ideally Virtuous) and email marketing
Computer/Tech Skills: Intermediate knowledge with project management tools and MS365
Travel requirements: 1-2 weeks per year

Position Classification: Full-Time Exempt
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000
