Job description

Role: Visual Basic Developer with C# Experience
Location: Remote-USA
Competencies
Must-Have:
Strong hands-on development experience in Visual Basic (VB6 / VB.NET)
Proficiency in C# development for modern application support and migration
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
Familiarity with Windows Forms, WPF, or .NET frameworks for application development
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Good-to-Have:
Experience in migrating legacy Visual Basic applications to C#/.NET
Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) for application deployment
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins)
Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Visual Basic and C#
Support and enhance legacy VB applications while building modern solutions in C#
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions
Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning across applications
Contribute to migration projects from VB to .NET/C# environments
Document technical designs, processes, and best practices for ongoing support
Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
