Aerotek has an immediate opening for a Proposal Writer to join our Sales Enablement team at our Raleigh, NC office!

Compensation

Target Range: $61,000 - $65,000

Bonus Potential: based on company and individual performance

Scope of Position

The Proposal Writer is responsible for developing clear, compelling, and compliant proposal content that supports bid responses, sales presentations, and strategic business development efforts. This role partners with sales, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to translate solution strategies, value messaging, and competitive differentiators into persuasive proposal narratives aligned to RFP requirements and win themes.

Working as part of the Sales Enablement proposal team, the Proposal Writer will manage multiple active bids, coordinate input from internal stakeholders and ensure response content clearly communicates how our solutions meet customer needs. This position requires strong writing, editing, organization and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting executive sales teams in staffing and outsourced services across multiple brands; Aston Carter, Actalent and Aerotek.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • RFP project management, analyzing bid requirements, creating deadlines for drafts, schedule stakeholder calls, reviews and submission
  • Writing proposals and related documentation for our organization’s services through a structured proposal process
  • Ensuring adherence to instructions and deadlines in formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Collaborating with teams virtually to develop sales presentations based on proposal content and requirements
  • Manage version control, review and stakeholder feedback to maintain accuracy and quality
  • Manage content management in proposal library of templates, boilerplate text and past performance
  • Updating and documenting standard content on a regular basis based on needs of business
  • Collaborating with SMEs and market research to develop compelling content focused on capabilities within specific industry segments
  • Utilization of Monday.com collaboration tool for project tracking and management
  • Support quarterly reporting on win/losses and customer feedback
  • Leverage AI tools (CoPilot) and when applicable to help craft messaging
  • Partner with Sales Enablement team on any key business initiatives

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism)
  • 2-3+ years of business, proposal and/or technical writing or transferrable experience

Writing and Editing

  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, punctuation and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of service offerings and subject matter expertise to support accurate, compelling content.

Organization and Accountability

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Able to hold teammates accountable for deadlines and responsibilities.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently as a self-starter.
  • Ability to lead team meetings virtually.
  • Comfortability with speaking to executive leadership.

Technical Skills

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $61,000 - $71,000 + bonus potential of up to $6,000
