Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and documenting case histories at the initial consultation phase, through treatment, to discharge, ensuring a continuous record of progress.
  • Evaluating clientsโ€™ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Creating individualized and group-specific intervention strategies that align with evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery.
  • Leading therapeutic sessions, both individually and within groups, to address client needs while fostering a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Monitoring client progress regularly and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individualized goals.
  • Collaborating closely with fellow mental health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic intervention plans.
  • Following up on clients who may require additional care, including liaising with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Identifying potential barriers to recovery and devising strategies to mitigate them.
  • Providing guidance and support for families and primary caregivers managing mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a varied clientele, including adults, couples, families, and groups facing a broad spectrum of mental health issues. You will work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, and addiction disorders. Your role will support these clients in overcoming their challenges and discovering their inner strengths.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience as a practicing mental health counselor.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with various electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient documentation efficiently.
  • Understanding the complexities of co-occurring disorders and treatment of underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
