Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting complete case histories from initial consultation through treatment completion to monitor client progress effectively.
  • Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health comprehensively to tailor specific intervention strategies.
  • Develop targeted treatment and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that all therapeutic goals are measurable and achievable.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions based on evidence-based psychotherapy practices, adapting methods as needed to best meet client needs.
  • Regularly monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to therapeutic strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses the multifaceted needs of our clients.
  • Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
  • Advocate for client needs, assisting family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our focus is on personalized care, and you will have the opportunity to develop meaningful, therapeutic relationships with clients from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds, empowering them on their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • A passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE, demonstrating competency in the field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong capacity for handling diverse client needs.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document client information and track treatment progress efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with co-occurring disorders, including both mental health and substance use issues.
  • Experience adhering to best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Deep understanding of prescriptions and their psychological effects as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a compassionate approach to interpersonal interactions.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
