The main difference lies in their focus: pitching versus hitting. While their credentials and work settings are similar, players seek each coach based on their specific skill development needs.

What is a remote baseball pitching coach?

A Remote Baseball Pitching Coach is a specialized coach who provides instruction and guidance to baseball pitchers through online platforms rather than in-person sessions. They analyze pitching mechanics, develop personalized training programs, and offer feedback using video analysis, live video calls, and digital communication. This approach allows athletes to receive expert coaching regardless of their location, making high-quality training more accessible and flexible.

How does a remote baseball pitching coach provide feedback and instruction to players without in-person interaction?

Remote Baseball Pitching Coaches typically use video analysis tools, live video calls, and detailed written feedback to help players improve their pitching mechanics. Coaches may request recordings of pitching sessions from different angles and then provide frame-by-frame breakdowns to address specific areas for improvement. Regular virtual check-ins and personalized training plans ensure ongoing progress. While remote work requires clear communication and technology proficiency, it allows coaches to work with athletes from diverse locations and tailor their approach to each player's needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote baseball pitching coach?

To thrive as a Remote Baseball Pitching Coach, you need a deep understanding of pitching mechanics, player development, and baseball strategy, often supported by coaching certifications or relevant playing experience. Familiarity with virtual coaching platforms, video analysis software, and online communication tools is essential for remote instruction. Strong communication, motivational skills, and adaptability help foster player growth and engagement from a distance. These skills ensure effective remote coaching, player improvement, and sustained athlete-coach relationships despite not being physically present.

Job description

Company Description

At Lakeshore, we create innovative learning materials and world-class guest experiences for teachers, parents and children. Since 1954, we've grown into a global community-with a thriving e-commerce business, multiple catalogs, over 50 stores, a peerless national sales force, plus international offices that support our preeminent supply chain division. But today we're working better, smarter and faster than ever-and setting our sights even higher. We're building an infrastructure designed for scalability, embracing data-driven decision-making and using technology to improve efficiency and ensure the best tools for the best work. Most importantly, we continue to invest in a diverse team of inquisitive top talent who fuel each other's passions and curiosity, take risks, try new things and believe that every new day brings opportunities for growth.

Job Description

At Lakeshore, we make products that end up in the hands of children every day - and the educators who guide them. As a Territory Representative on our Inside Sales team, you'll build real relationships with schools, childcare centers, and community organizations, connecting them with the tools and resources that help children learn and grow. If you're energized by meaningful conversations, motivated by hitting goals, and excited to represent products you can feel good about, this role is for you.

A day on the job looks like this:

  • Grow a portfolio of school and childcare accounts by building genuine relationships through outbound calls and virtual appointments - turning first conversations into long-term partnerships
  • Partner with educators, administrators, and community organizations to understand their needs and match them with Lakeshore solutions, including our Complete Classrooms program and professional development offerings
  • Host virtual product presentations and events that give customers a hands-on look at what Lakeshore offers and how it fits their learning environments
  • Monitor local, state, and national trends and funding opportunities in early childhood and elementary education to identify new business prospects in your territory
  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and professional services teammates to sharpen messaging and ensure customers get consistent, high-quality support
  • Consistently hit daily activity targets and sales quotas, tracking your pipeline and progress in Salesforce
Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and communicate clearly across a range of audiences - from classroom teachers to district administrators
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment, managing your own schedule to meet daily activity and sales goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn new tools quickly
  • This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in the U.S

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in inside sales, outside sales, or a customer-facing role where hitting goals mattered
  • Background in early childhood or elementary education - either working in it or selling into it
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM

What sets you apart:

  • You take feedback seriously and actually use it - you see coaching as a competitive advantage, not a critique
  • You stay organized and on top of the details even when you're juggling a full pipeline of accounts
  • You bring genuine curiosity to each customer conversation, asking questions before pitching solutions
  • You hold yourself accountable on the days when no one is watching - remote work energizes rather than derails you
Additional Information

And here's our end of the bargain!

  • Hourly: $31.25-$36.05
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Paid leave for new parents to support work/life balance and family bonding
  • Excellent medical/dental and vision coverage-EPO, PPO and HSA
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution (because you will retire someday)
  • Flexible benefit options-choose what you like, ignore the rest
  • Generous employee discount on products
